My name is Eli, and I'm a self-taught astrologer and tarot card reader. I began my astrology journey in 2002 when an acquaintance of mine went on a rant about how he didn't believe in astrology, claiming it was all "lies." At the time, I had a habit of reading Rob Bresney's column "Real Astrology" in the local weekly paper just for fun. I knew nothing about astrology at the time. But my friend began pointedly questioning me about why I read such "garbage," and  he made some rather outrageous sounding claims about what astrologers supposedly believe. His attitude towards it was downright hostile, which was a huge red flag for me. So, I decided to do some research of my own. Did astrologers really believe the crazy things he said they did? Like that Earth is the center of the universe and that the Sun and Moon are, literally, planets?

This prompted me to borrow a copy of Parker's Astrology from the library, and I quickly discovered that my friend couldn't have been more wrong. I calculated my own birth chart by hand, and when I found out what my rising sign was, suddenly, my life made a lot more sense. Ever since then, I've used astrology as a tool to better understand myself, my family, my life, and the world.  I've studied voraciously, reading books, taking online classes, and doing charts for friends and family.  It's proven to be an invaluable tool in helping me through some dark and difficult times, and I'm so excited to be able to share the insights astrology has to  offer with others!

I started dabbling in tarot around that same time, 2002, which was also part of a larger spiritual awakening for me. But it was not until 2015 that I began to study tarot with the same fervor I had for astrology. In tarot, I found another symbol system that has the power to dip into our subconscious and reveal to us things we didn't know that we knew. Here was another powerful tool that helps us to face life's challenges with courage, confidence, and hope. 

I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to  share the gifts of insight, perspective, understanding, and healing with those who need it through the intuitive arts of astrology and tarot.
