"The Man" doesn't want you to be happy
If you're alarmed by the state of the world these days, you're in good company. If you feel hopeless, powerless, confused, enraged, isolated, terrified, depressed, you're not the only one.
Here's the thing, though. The people who have the power and the money, the people who feel entitled to make these decisions that have disastrous effects for all life on the planet with absolutely no consideration for what anyone else wants or needs, they benefit from your sense of powerlessness, despair, and fear. Because it makes you just want to crawl into a hole, hide there forever, and do nothing. It keeps you isolated and disconnected from community. It prevents you from fighting back. And it keeps them in power.
I started Joyful Warrior Astrology and Tarot because I believe that we're supposed to be happy. We're supposed to be fulfilled. And that we're supposed to have autonomy and self-determination. In fact, our joy, fulfillment, and self-determination go hand-in-hand, and one cannot exist without the other two. But the greedy, selfish, power-hungry, and downright abusive among us have always found ways to rob us of that. Whether in our intimate, personal lives, or in the public, collective, societal spheres of our lives. So, we have to fight for it.
And believe it or not, crazy as it may sound, the intuitive arts of astrology and tarot, can help us do just that. Because they give us access to our own deep, subconscious, intuitive wisdom. They give us access to that deeply buried part of us that no one, no matter how powerful they might be, can steal from us. The part of us that knows exactly who we are, what we want, what we need, and that we have nothing to be ashamed or afraid of. The parts of ourselves that help us to be confident and brave. The parts of ourselves we felt like we needed to hide for years and years in order to protect our very identities in unsafe situations. And astrology and tarot can put us in touch with those confident, incorruptible parts of ourselves - if we're able to decode their messages.
I've studied these systems for over 20 years, and while I'm not "psychic," I am highly intuitive, empathetic, and attuned to metaphor, archetypal wisdom, and symbolic meaning. Together, we can decode the messages that the cards and the sky above us hold for you. Together, we can start the search for the knowledge and wisdom that lie buried deep within. And you can reclaim your joy, fulfillment, autonomy, and the ability to fight back.
